Unity will be holding a Christmas Candlelighting Service at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, December 19th, at Unity of NEPA: A Spiritual Center, 140 S Grant St, Wilkes Barre. It is a beautiful service, and Unity encourages persons of all faiths to attend. All attendees are invited to pick a candle, each which will have one of 12 spiritual gifts (powers) that God has blessed us with. The service focuses on these spiritual gifts or powers as our gifts to the world. Individuals may also pick candles for loved ones. All of these candles will be lit, bringing a warm glow to the church. Christmas instrumental trio, vocal solos, and congregational Christmas carol singing will be featured, as well as prayer and meditation on this wonderful evening
