Chase away the February Blues: come dance for an evening of wonderful music, movement and laughter.
The Countryside Contra Dancers welcome everyone to the February 11 Contra Dance from 7:30 PM –10:30PM at the Donald Heiter Community Center , 100N 5th Street, in Lewisburg.
Calling this month is Karl Senseman, with music by Total Hip Replacement .
New England Contra Dance is a traditional dance form rooted in Irish, English, and Scottish jigs, reels and waltzes. Contra dancing is easy and energetic, mostly involving a smooth walking step.
All dances are taught/called, with the basic figures taught from 7:30-8:00.
Newcomers of all ages are always welcome, with or without a partner.
Please wear comfortable clothes, and soft soled, non-marking shoes.
Admission is $8.00 for Adults; under 18 free. $5.00 for students with current ID. Under 16 must be accompanied by guardian.
