Childcare provider training, January 26, 8:00 AM – 2:30 PM, Lehighton Annex Building, 101 N. 3rd Street, Lehighton, PA 18235. Topics: Nurture and Support Your Staff and Coaching Your Staff. Nurture and Support Your Staff focuses on implementing a model to support career and professional development of early childhood education staff. Directors will be able to develop and build nurturing relationships with teacher/staff, identify the professional needs of emerging mid-career and experienced teachers, and plan and implement strategies using the PDR and CBK to support staff professional development. Coaching Your Staff focus on developing director/administrator skills as a coach and mentor to teacher/staff by evaluating and analyzing two models for using observation feedback to improve teacher competency and skills. Improving teacher/staff competency will ultimately enhance the quality of programs and services to children and their families and increase children’s positive outcomes. Pre-registration and payment is required by January 18, 2013. You must attend both sessions in order to receive certificate. Fee: $30.00 per person.
